Looking to buy a new rod for bass fishing, 2-4oz, 11-12ft, fixed spool use, needs to light as possible with excellent bite detection.

Any recommendations?

I have the Diawa Supercast Bass. It's 11' 6" and rated 2-4oz, a cracking little rod that I mostly use for spodding while carp fishing these days.

I used it with a fixed spool for fishing close in to rocks and groynes etc for bass with peeler or sandeel, it has terrific bite detection.

There are cheaper rods on the market, the Supercast is available for about 135.

I have a pretty sexy Leeda sport bass, 2 - 4 oz.
Cost me 30 brand spanking with a bit of haggling Wink Would recommend it highly.
