The harry Tom is another North Wales Fly used for river trout and sewin as well as on the lakes

it looks like a dark or suity olive wet fly. I seen a pattern like it in a book of ted malones irish flies

It is quoted in both Moc Morgan's Fly Patterns for the rivers and Lakes of Wales, and Taff Prices International Fly Patterns.
There are also similar Patterns in William Roberts's book Llawlyfr y Pysgotwr (Fisherman's Handbook) printed 1899.

as long as there are Fish to catch and materials available similar patterns will turn up all over the world
I was using it in the 60's and 70's
