Thats bonkers, why would you want to catch 30 plus fish??
When I have had a few and know that the method works I move on and try a different method or flies to see what works.
Last time there I changed flies and tried to contact the perch.
Those stockiest will have a PHD in flies to avoid.

I was just looking at the diary and it looks like I have made my last trip to Farmoor this year, due to Tier4 and other issues.
Now oxford is also tier4 I will make the trip up there from watford (also T4) in 2021 on my own and maybe stick to self isolated bank fishing.
I did around 16 trips on the season ticket which runs until May 21 so good value.

Finger crossed for 2021

We are Tier 3 in Glos so no trips to either Farmoor or Darlow for the time being. Had an update from Darlow that the lake has risen 4 or 5 feet flooding the banks and carpark along with Linear Carp fishery next door so would have been stymied in any event.

I have just looked back at 2020, my records show since renewing my season ticket on the 19th May, I have caught around 94 fish and had four blanks in the hot spell.

Notice on FB that Farmoor is closed to the public from the 3rd January until further notice. Not 100% sure if this applies to fishermen or not as a respondent seemed to suggest you could still fish. Academic for me as Glos is now tier 4.
