So made it to Frensham with brother on Sunday. Got there just before 9 and the place was already busy! Brother took a 3 fish ticket for 30 and I went with a C&R day ticket for 28. If you've not been before it's a quirky place with 1 largish lake called Robins & the other 5 being quite small with 2 only really big enough for 1/2 people to fish. All the lakes were quite clear waterwise and all seemed to have a fair few fish in them

We both started on Robins and there was quite a few fish moving around feeding just below the surface and some taking on top. I started with a dry daddy and a fair few looks but fish would veer off @ the last moment. Switched to a brown klinkhammer and couple of casts later was rewarded with a nice rainbow of around 2lbs. Fought well and was in decent condition. Not to be outdone my brother tried a a gray duster after seeing my success (& listening to my boasting about being the best in the family) & soon was into a decent fish that came in a touch under 3lbs.

I moved onto Herons lake just up from Robins and the klinkhammer did the business again with 2 more fish in about an hour both again around 2lbs. I stayed there til lunch time but no more joy. Caaught up with little bro who'd stayed on Robins but moved a couple of swims up from where we started and was shocked to see he'd caught his limit with the other 2 coming on a size 10 lime geen Cat!! So much for natural presentation! Shock

Fishery was getting even busier with very few free swims so I only fished on for sbout another hour @ most still using klink and some dries but no more joy so we packed up and decamped to a local pub where I threw the car keys @ my brother and had a few beers! Laughing

All in all a decent day and I would go back but prob during the week when I reckon it wouldn't be as busy.

I know Richard who runs Frensham and supply a few bits to him to sell. The fish he has in the lakes are decent quality and it's rare to find a fishery around here that offers catch and release so I would definitely recommend it as well Smile
