Apparently it's only TheCowboy who suffers from projectile vomiting aboard ship and he's been advised to adopt an old Royal Navy anti sea sickness technique which, we're led to believe, involves a fully charged car battery, some copper wire, two crocodile clips and his testicles. Neutral

I can't say I'm looking forward to witnessing the installation of this equipment but in the interests of fishing, not to mention Mick's welfare, I suppose we'll just have to.

Shock

I've spoken to the skipper this evening and he is going to confirm defiantly tomorrow night! He seems to think that we should be ok. We won't be venturing out into the middle of the channel but onto the banks to target the bream and plaice. He said he would reserve us some squid and worm baits from the bait shack on the quay.

Think the trip is an 8 hour trip so should be back at the quay for 4pm. Will confirm that tomorrow as well. 62.00 each + tackle hire + bait.

Tea and coffee served on the boat. There is a microwave to use if you want but bring you own lunch.

The skipper went out today and they caught loads of bream!

There's no need for that Nige. I'm sure Mick will be fine once his gonads have been energized.

Shame I'm not going to be there, I could have calmed the waters and told you a few stories of my sea adventures to test your sea legs.

Such as the people who eat ragworm sandwhiches, skippers who use sea water to make tea, apparently quite nice, stinking fried squid, a nice delicacy on a boat.

I'll try and keep this one suitable vague, many years ago one member of our party who after a session the night before, needed to relieve himself, the number 2 variety.

No toilets on boats them days, so he perched and anchored himself on the gunwales, (side of the boat to you landlubbers), seaward side.

We were less than a hundred yards away from the breakwater, for some reason, turn of the tide, the boat swung around with him hanging on, giving the day tripper families on the crowded breakwater a site not to be forgotten.

It was a hard day. Had one Bream. They just weren't biting. Everyone on our boat had at least one fish. Some of the other boats didn't get any fish.
At least the sun was shining!
Going to get some more dates from the skipper to set up another charter.
