I take it you've all had a laugh at this pic in Sea Angler mag? This codling was what could have been my last ever fish...fifteen minutes after The Yates took this pic I was in the throes of a massive heart attack, managed to die once in the ambulance and once in the hospital, but thanks to the medical staff at The William Harvey Hospital in Ashford I'm still here.
Who said fishing was relaxing.... _________________ Rich

So far so good, thanks guys...had an MOT at the hospital last week and the consultant was very pleased with the results, no more surgery needed until April, and then I may be able to get away with having nothing done...which would be nice. Desparate to get fishing again, I'm getting bloody rusty sitting about here!
I've now moved into a great big flat and left the wife for good...she asked me to leave the day after I got home from hospital...nice of her, I thought. That really helped the recovery process, having to move all my worldly possessions up a flight of stairs...I was puffing and panting like an old steam engine by the time I'd finished!
But so far all is well, my new love in my life is doing all she can to get me back into normality[in all ways... ]
Thanks for the good wishes all, much appreciated. _________________ Rich

Glad to here your starting to feel better and are the road to recovery.
I think the fact your wife found out you were having an affair might have something to do with you being asked to leave.
Timing was a bit harsh but if you get caught playing away from home then that sort of thing will happen to you.

Quite possibly mate...

My thoughts exactly, but as you say, I got caught and paid the price.

Mind you, I did win a Sea Angler prize...

Glad you are O.K. Rich, I am sure Fly fishing is less strenuous than sea fishing mind.
Take care mate. Might even get to meet one day at Chalk Springs.
