Fished today 20 miles in front of Punta Sal. Picked up 38 YFT from 20-30 lbs each. All deep on live bait. The current changed as the day progressed and the water got colder, pushing North. Then the bite shut off. As we came in to Mancora there were bonito crashing everywhere, and bait getting picked up by the frigates.
Don't know if I'll go back out, I have to go back to work.

Found out there is a sportboat located in Punta Sal, about 20 mins by road North of Mancora, it's a 30' fiberglass boat with a small diesel, all safety gear and licensed by Peruvian coast guard for 8 people, has all tackle for inshore and offshore. Owner's name is Pete Kemble, he's from UK. It's a good option for fishing in Northern Peru.
