Today we made a start with February. Last month the fishing in Gran Canaria was really great. The most years,January was very good to catch heavy stingrays.
But January 2007 brought us only some of these monsters and lots of Atlantic Bonitos, weighting all between 8 and 15 pounds.
With light tackle really a super sport fish. We caught also lots of nice baracudas and snappers.
In 2006 we caught also our first Albacore Tunas in February.
If they are coming also in February 2007 ?? Cross fingers!! |

In the first week of February the catches were okay. We caught nearly every day about 10 or more Atlantic Bonitos, a couple of rays, snappers, pufferfish .........etc.
All with all, great fishing days. |

The fishing is really super. Last year we caught in January/February 3 or 4 bonitos a day. The last two weeks the catches were not lower than 10 a day. First we start daily with the fishing for live-bait, also a nice sport to do.
Then we are going to the reef for..............? |
