Hi Martha,
It is quit expensive to send books from Holland to the UK. But if you give me your adress I will be more than happy to send you a couple of flies that will most certainly give you a headstart... just let me know where you will be fishing....
Cheers from Holland, Hans.

Started tying your flies Martha. It may take me a while, I want the box to be worth sending.
On the other hand, you may have to beat the Dutch contesters, so I may have to use bad quality hooks and water-soluble tying-thread... Wink
Have a nice weekend.
Hans.

Hi Martha

Are you by any chance hoping to go to New Zealand with the England Ladies ? (is that in 2008?)

One of our club members, Graham Herbert, was auctioning some Fly Fishing rods, reels, jackets, etc. at the LFFA meeting last night. Graham said that the money raised was for the ladies team trip to NZ - so naturally I had to bit appropriately on a few items - to support the ladies of course Very Happy

The box with your ammunition will be posted tomorrow Martha.
I was on call for the trauma-team last weekend, providing me with plenty of time to tie.
A little letter is inside the package as well, with a users manual for the flies.
Most of the flies are own designs, so not available in the shops.
Cheers, hope they will work for you like they did for me in Norway.
Hans.

There are so many fine books Luke, most of my books are out of print since many years. You might consider to look for a book with step by step pictures.
Think it's by far the best to learn the basics first from a friend, an experienced tyer.
Once you know the techniques the rest will follow. Than it's more a matter of working our different patterns with different materials.
Hope this helps....
Best, hans.
