With the weather as forcast me and the old man decided on whats known as a bit of easy fishing. The town hall steps with the high wall behind us keeping the strong wind away. Target species whiting dabs and codling.
2 rods apiece cast out one holding fresh or frozen black the others close in with mack and lug on flappers.

First fish of the day for the big fella a nice plump one

I scratched around for an hour taking plenty on small whiting close in

As the tide began reach high, the Mersey was looking rougher than normal but the fish were still biting only small codlets for myself

[IMG][/IMG]

As we waited for the tide abait a little to target the dabs a slack liner on the long rod saw another codling no monster but perfectly formed

The last hour saw the dabs move in as expected and the small codling and whiting kept the tips knocking

Not a bad session all in all
