After a mucky day at Chew last week a couple of My Reels got dunked. Cleaning and drying My fly lines is straight forward but drying My backing lines, running it through paper towels didn't dry it very well and I got the backing in some frustrating tangles. Are there any other methods or do I even need to dry the backing?

I think most backing line theses days are rot proof although I have had instances when the colour has bled and stained the running line which doesn't look great on a white line. Sad

If you are concerned then just strip it from your reel and lay it in coils on newspaper in a warm room until it dries out. Smile
