The best way to descride a blue I reckon is a silver rainbow without the magenta lateral line and a darker almost blue back but some of them can just be kinda silver all over.

Blues allegedly give a better fight than bows but I've only found this to be the case in smaller fish where they tend to go airborne. A well conditioned bow and well conditioned blue in the 4 - 7 lbs class will both scrap up pretty well next to each other in my experience.
