Sorry picked this up late. Been hard work on the Sw lakes for the past couple of weeks, but this change in weather should bring them on form. End of last week It was small grey buzzers, the week before medium (16) olive ones. Some fairly small sedges hatching as the light went (16). Fished Meldon and Venford for Browns, Burrator for 'bows and the West Dart and saw similar hatches on all of them. Also a shed load of daddies all over Dartmoor, Bodmin and the Tamar valley so hoppers well worth a go.
Colliford fishes in the same vein as Meldon or Avon... if in doubt use two or three small dark dries, fan cast and move twenty or thirty yards.
Move and cover the water all the way around.

I had most of my fish on small dry midges. Size 22, peacock herl body and CDC wing with a bit of flash as a shuck.
