Good Morning forumites. After being subjected to much abuse and officially banned from a local group on the F OFF Forum one of my true friends who ignored all the lies took me out fishing to the above water last Tuesday. When we arrived just before 11 am there was thick cloud cover, but after launching our hired boat the clouds soon burnt off and so did my arms (ouch)! Very little rises, but did manage to catch one two pound rainbow on a damsel nymph which came off as soon as in the net, then boat partner Ged caught a two pound very dark wild brownie which was long and lean soon after then NOTHING! Even with a midge hatch in full swing and some crane flies coming off there was no surface activity so packed in at 7pm. What a beautiful place to fish and not many anglers being midweek. Loads of people around though-hikers, backpackers and just people in general having picnics or just chilling out for the day. And a day out fishing sure made up for almost three months Not fishing! Tight Lines and thanks!
