Chance at most of the normal places I think Jamie.
I have seen them caught on the trout fly in most of them one time or another. Targeting them is another thing.
If you have never fished Chew before let me know and I will help best I can on access points.

Cheers,
Mark

Hi Jamie

Welcome to the Forum! Very Happy

I confess I haven't put in much time fishing for pike from the bank recently but I have had some limited success in previous years. If you do some searches in the early Bristol Water 2007 - 2009 threads (ie before this forum had its own dedicated Pike Fly fishing section) you will find some of my catch reports which you may find helpful in regards to tackle and location. Here is one to get you going ...

http://www.completefisher.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7877&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=pike+nunnery&start=240

I'm sure Pike can be found all around the lake but in my opinion Nunnery point from the Oak trees in to Villice Bay and Herons Green from the landing stage into the bay opposite the road is as good as anywhere. My PB is from the shore when deliberately fishing for them is just over 9lb with 3lb to 6lb being more likely.

Hope this helps. Smile

Hi Jamie and welcome to the forum from me as well. You can do a lot worse than take heed of what Father Christmas has to say above. He knows what he's on about does our Al! Cool

Have a look at John Horsey's blog - some good info in there, though news on the pike front isn't great at the moment!
